Singapore-headquartered Laservall shares how its Suwon R&D base powers a global business: “Strategy from Singapore. Built in Suwon.”
SINGAPORE, October 20, 2026 – Laservall, an intelligent engineering platform company headquartered in Singapore, presented its growth story as a foreign-invested company in Korea at the Suwon Free Economic Zone Investment Briefing, held on October 15 at Amara Singapore. CEO Andrew Kim, who also serves as Suwon City’s Investment Promotion Ambassador, explained how Laservall combines strategy set in Singapore with R&D and production in Suwon, South Korea, to serve customers worldwide.
Hosted by Suwon Special City, the briefing brought together around 30 participants, including a Suwon delegation led by Mayor Jae-jun Lee, representatives of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), and executives from 17 Singapore technology companies. The program included an overview of Suwon’s investment environment, Laservall’s case presentation, and a letter of intent (LOI) ceremony.
Kim gave three reasons Laservall chose Suwon as its R&D and production base: proximity to key customers, access to top engineering talent, and a dense network of universities, research institutes and suppliers. The company opened its Suwon R&D center in 2018 and in 2024 became the ninth of 29 companies to sign an investment agreement with the city, a step that allowed it to significantly expand its research and production capacity there. Technology developed in Suwon now reaches customers around the world through Laservall’s manufacturing campuses in China and Vietnam.
